I have given the wrong meter reading

So I have just recently split from my partner and taken over the bills. When asking for a meter reading of electricity I have misread and gave them 4530 which should have been 9530. I have emailed avro energy as they are not accepting phone calls but am starting to worry will they change this for me?

They will likely reject/ignore the reading anyway as it will be so far out from previous readings.  You could submit the correct reading now.

The reading will be rejected by The Mysterious Third Party.
Just send Avro the correct reading in the same way that you sent the incorrect reading.
  • Hi,
4530 looks correct, think the shadow makes it look like a 9, can you get a clearer photie?

  • It has been submitted to my account by avro that's the old photo the new today is where I have spotted my mistake  :(

Atrocious smart meter design: should have been obvious to anyone with an ounce of common sense that the digits can be misread because the upper LCD segments are too close to the edge.
Also strange that 9 doesn't include the bottom horizontal segment, which would have prevented any ambiguity with 4.  The 6 has the top segment, so why have they skimped on the 9?
Just another example of the smart meter fiasco.
Not just "smart" meters - the more modern standard digital meter that I had fitted in 2016 is just as bad to read - have to get down low to make sure I'm not reading wrong !!

    Those meters are just horrible

If someone else was still here he would be telling you of the fact they weren't meant for domestic use, they were just cheap
