Afternoon all :-)
This is our ground floor floorplan.
We plan to eventually convert the rear of the garage into a room and allow for storage at front for bikes etc.
Would loo fit into the cupboards under the stairs/utility cupboard.?
Or better using the utility cupboard and go into garage?
Total novice and looking for suggestions please. Thankyou

Where is the drain from the existing upstairs toilet(s)?
But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,
Had the whole of their cash in his care.

Sorry the drain is at the back of the garage. Right where that 'in' door to the rear of the garage is.
    Thanks

Then the utility room immediately adjacent to that is the easiest place to put a toilet.

The further away from that the more it’ll cost

It may even be best to build it outside at the rear of the garage and knock a door through.

If it would fit I'd look to have it in the utility room.

Brilliant thanks for the response! The space out the back of the garage is wasted so might be a great solution.

But then you'd be asking guests to traipse through the garage to get to it.

I would put the toilet in what is outside right now, at the point where it is marked "IN" to the garage.  that square part would probably be the ideal size for a toilet, with the option to widen it to the left if you wanted.

True. Maybe just the back of the garage when we convert to a room could be a loo, we want the converted room for home working so a door to that area would be just off the utility room.
Builder booked to come and look and suggest  best plans.
Hoped the understairs would work as that ends up as a dumping ground for kids shoes and coats
