Finding A Foundation Degree

I applied for my dream drama school and although I didn’t get on to the full course, I was accepted onto the foundation course. The full course is funded by a student load however the foundation course is privately funded paying £9250 for the course and living costs on top of that. I’m desperate to go but I don’t know how I can pay for this as the government aren’t able to pay it, any advice would be super appreciated. Thank you.

Some institutions award scholarships but they are very rare. Can't you apply for a course at a different drama school?
There is some information here : https://www.gov.uk/dance-drama-awards - it hasn't been updated for 2021/22 yet, although it does have a list of some schools you could approach.
Other than that, you could do extensive research on the internet to see if any other courses are more appropriate for you. It does seem to be a very competitive subject though. The internet is your friend in this instance! Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. I'm afraid the huge majority of drama schools have foundation years which are privately funded.
Sometimes there is something of a scholarship awarded, but it might only be worth a fraction of the cost and will be for tuition only not rent or living costs.
DADAs (dance and drama awards), in the link given in the previous reply are not awarded for for foundation years
The only funded via student loans foundation courses drama schools are those which are CertofHE and there's only a small handful offer these.
Drama school applications have been difficult this year, extra people applying, some because they put off last year due to covid and online applications meant it's cheaper and more accessible than the usual travel and accommodation needed, at the same time submitting tapes hasn't always been ideal.
If you've got a foundation offer at your dream place, then fantastic, they've spotted your potential. but realistically if you haven't got the money and family can't help out then it's not going to be viable. You could give yourself a 'gap year' instead, work and save. If it's a straight acting course you've applied for (rather than musical theatre) then they do value maturity and life experience, so no harm done by trying next year.
ETA -Even if the foundation course was affordable, there is still no guarantee that you will get on to your dream drama schools degree the following year. They are not feeder courses and only take a very small amount onto their degree.
Have you got any other offers you're happy with?0
