Hairdressers

I am a hair dresser and currently on furlough but have been doing course on my own laptop and calling clients off my personal phone .. I have also been going into work to do work and all while being paid furlough so 80% of my wage is that right or should I be getting some sort of wages top up .

You cannot be fully furloughed and work at the same time (there is an exclusion for certain training). What you are entitled to be paid is governed by your contract of employment. Did you agree with your employer you would be paid for the course, personal phone use etc?

We didn't actually get given an option, we were told we wear to take part in them, we were also told we had to contact clients .. so we have only been getting furlough xx

It is something to talk to your employer about. Some employers reimburse course costs. They cannot furlough you and expect you to call clients, on your personal phone or otherwise. They have to pay you your full wage for the hours you work.
