Bay window insulation?

We have a 2016 brick built house, by a local developer who has a good reputation but doesn't go over the top. There is a bay window to the lounge which has a pitched lead (lookalike) roof. Is there likely to be insulation in the void? I know that's a impossible one to answer, but does anyone know if it's common practice to put insulation in. The only clue I have without cutting into the plasterboard is that I clearly hear raindrops when standing near the bay. Any opinions welcome, Thanks.

I'd be surprised if there is no any insulation, especially if it's not cold and there is no condensation on the ceiling.

There should be some insulation over the bay. How much, and what type is anyone's guess..
A thermal imaging camera on a real cold day would give an indication of how well it is insulated - Not everyone has access to that sort of equipment, but it would save cutting holes in the ceiling.
Side note - Octopus, the energy supplier, loans out thermal imaging camera, as do some local councils. Worth checking around.
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

    Thanks both.

  • As said above - almost certainly there will be. And, as also said above, if there wasn't, it would be the first surface on which mould would start to form.

Thanks again for the replies, There is no sign of mould, ceiling seems no colder than the main room ceiling. I'll make an effort to go outside when we next have frost to see whether it frosts as much as the main house roof.
