Hi
We moved into our home in November. The windows and doors were replaced in 2019 so are quite new.One of the window handles needs replacing, but on speaking to the installer we were advised the warranty is not transferable. Is this usual or fair?

Under UK legislation, it's perfectly acceptable.
As a warranty isn't a legal right, retailers are free to decide whether or not to allow that warranty to be transferred from the original buyer to a subsequent person.
If it's only the handle that is damaged and if it's a standard design, you should be able to get a replacement fairly cheaply either from the original installer or from one of the many places online that deal in door and window spares.0 -
Many thanks for your reply. We have been able to sort a replacement handle - thank goodness it wasn’t anything expensive.0
