Online clothes shopping

A local independent clothing business’s do not offer refund or exchange on sale. It is a shop with an online business too. I want to buy some sale items online but not sure if they will fit. Do I not have right to at least an exchange/credit note if I’ve not being able to try them on before purchase? Their reason is due to the items being heavy reduced in price. Just wondered if its right.

Their T&Cs don't trump the law. Under online, distance selling regulations you have the opportunity to inspect the goods, as you would do in a shop, and cancel, should you wish, within 14 days for a full refund. You do not have to accept a credit note either.monstar40 said:A local independent clothing business’s do not offer refund or exchange on sale. It is a shop with an online business too. All covered in the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013.1 -
Even though they are legally obliged to accept returns under the CCR's, if they fail to abide by this, you may well have a long and hard job getting a refund so to be honest, you would probably be better off giving your money to a different retailer, one who knows and follows the law in the UK.2

If you buy them in the shop then no, you do not have any right to a refund or credit note.monstar40 said:A local independent clothing business’s do not offer refund or exchange on sale. If you buy them online, then yes you can return them if they do not fit.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)1 -
I thought as much. Thanks everyone for your replies.0
