If you are ill and you have side effects, then you should take some time off. And companies are offering working from home.

Not true for an awful lot of companies at all. How can delivery drivers, shop workers, hospitality workers, cleaners, hairdressers, beauticians etc work from home ?

If they are ill then they should take it as time off for illness.
Whether they get paid for that depends on the policy of their employer of course, same as if you had flu, a cold, or any other illness.

I agree but I was quoting a post above saying companies are offering work from home and I am saying no not all companies offer work from home. Ie not everyone can work from home
