Leaking mixer tap

Mothers kitchen mixer tap is leaking from the rotating end of the spout where the handles are IYSWIM....
I've changed the O rings but it still seeps...any other ideas? She is hell bent on a new tap.

As above, a picture speaks a thousand words.
If it's a single lever mixer tap then the likely culprit is the cartridge, which can either be cleaned or, probably easier, simply replaced.0 -
1. If it only leaks when either or both taps are on, then it is leaking from where the spout enters the body of the tap.
2. If it leaks when there are no taps open, then it is the seal between body and spout gone, and one or both tap valves letting water by.
3. Often easier, and sometimes cheaper, to change the entire tap.0 -
