No it just came across that way with the photo which is why I clarified, and then read all the items off to them today and they too said they should have been there was too coincidental for sereral people working for them to think the same as me but never mind0

Or they misread your message/got confused. It's likely English is not their first language and there ARE some accessories included in the box, and I think some of them are even shown in that fourth picture, just not the ones you were asking about.DaviesXo2020 said:No it just came across that way with the photo which is why I clarified, and then read all the items off to them today and they too said they should have been there was too coincidental for sereral people working for them to think the same as me but never mind0 -
If the pictures show the accessories they should be included, Amazon's own policy for sellers is "Images must accurately represent the product that is for sale." and misleading actions which may alter the economic activity of the average consumer are prohibited by consumer law.2021BJ said:
They didn't say everything was included on the product page. which is where it matters. If they said it in a message, someone has made a mistake. You can't hold them to that.DaviesXo2020 said:People was given different answers which is why I contacted amazon. I felt if anyone should know what it is they're selling it should be them. I have absolutely no idea if I was being fobbed off or if I they genuinely don't have to accept responsibility for telling me that everything was included I'm clueless
For example a product page for a shelf or cupboard with accessories might be used to give a sense of how a product fits in a home and it would be obvious the extras aren't included but in this instance that fourth picture on the listing is misleading IMO if the accessories aren't included .

One of the pics has two houseplants in it, should those be included in the box too?

Plenty of phone cases showing the case with a phone in it, include the phone too? If it was a prominent picture, sure, but it's four pictures deep.
It's not misleading.0 -

It's not misleading.
The average consumer doesn’t expect a cover to come with a free phone, nor a a house plant with whatever that product is.
Text on the image to say accessories sold separately would also not be misleading. However a laptop being sold including images of a cover that isn’t included but is compatible would be another example of something that is.
Regardless of opinion, the EU Directive from which the legislation is formed is comprehensive and anything that may alter the economic activity of the average consumer is misleading. In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces1 -
