Replacing bath-shower mixer tap set - flow limits?

Hi all,
My parents have a bath-shower mixer tap that has broken. I'm looking to get a like-for-like replacement for the sake of simplicity.
Pretty sure it's one of these (link below).
However, there are three options - unlimited flow, 6l and 8l limits. I have no idea what is currently installed. It seems to flow pretty well - the shower doesn't feel like you're just being dribbled on - so I'm assuming it's unlimited. Can anyone suggest if this is something we could get tripped up on? It's fed by a combi boiler with decent flow rates.

1. Why not try the existing shower (if possible) to see what the current flow is. Timed into a marked bucket?
2. If you go for unlimited, they can presumably adjust the flow rate to suit.

In what way is it broken? On the link you provided there is also a spare parts list. It will probably be easier and cheaper to fix what's there rather than replace.0

So the hose connector has fractured and popped off. Part of it is still stuck in the tap body. Replacing is actually a plan B - plan A is to try to get it out and replace with the spare part. But I suspect it may not work - the part that's left in appears to be pretty jammed in with calc and there's little way of getting purchase on any part of it.YellowCarBlueCar said:In what way is it broken? Fair enough - with a lot of descaling you may be able to get it out with a drift, or with a couple of notches made with a Dremmel, a flat blade.princeofpounds said:

Don't have a suggestion as to how to identify the flow rate other than those already posted, but if you can't attach a hose it's not going to be easy to accurately measure
