Should I keep private health insurance taken with employer after redundancy?

My partner had day surgery at a private hospital a few years ago even though it was under the NHS. It was amazing as he had his own private room and bathroom, lovely food and the staff were so lovely. As well as being seen quicker, the quality of care is very important to us so this is what I am looking for when I seek a policy through a broker. Willing to pay some excess though.

When mum saw the consultant about her mouth, it was at the local BUPA hospital whilst for the cataracts, it would appear this is done at the local private hospitalimmy1 said:My partner had day surgery at a private hospital a few years ago even though it was under the NHS. hi Immi.Policy is with Aviva. Broker is Right to Health Ltd.I found it through the comparison web sites.
I've been with them 3 years now, made a claim the first year. Tore my meniscus. I was a bit concerned because I had only had the policy a month and I thought they might be a bit iffy but they paid out ok. Since then I've just claimed for the dental element. I cancelled my Denplan when I found out I could get both health care and (some) dental cover (£300 a year) for only £20 a month more than just Denplan.Good luck.1 -
