Know the difference between bound resin and bonded.
If installed well bound resin can be superb. Quite often you see these with pea gravel which to me looks a bit what a council or commercial property would install. Thankfully other colours and aggregates are available but at higher cost.
I was considering resin but it's harder to find installers for residential uses.

I think it looks great, it is expensive though. There's a drive around the corner that was done about 20 years ago and it still looks good as new. There's another one up the road that was done a couple of years ago and it's breaking up. Personally I like the ones that look like pea gravel, the one that's breaking up happens to be red and it looks awful, even before it deteriorated.

As with all things, preparation and a solid base is key. A drive needs a thick layer of well compacted hardore/MOT1 put down before any surface is laid. For a resin top coat, a solid concrete base would generally need to be put down first. Anything less, and it would break up fairly quickly.
