MPAN issues and switching supplier
An issue has arisen when I have attempted to change energy suppliers (gas & electricity). My electricity meter serial number and MPAN do not align to my property according to some national register.
Property age around 300 years, meter is newer.
Current supplier is People's Energy, no previous issues with them but tariff ending and more suitable now available. The MPAN they quoted on my bill is not that registered on the national database, it actually links to the meter at my neighbours property. How do I get these issues realigned so I can switch supplier? When I tried, they switched my neighbour.
Usually switch supply annually and not had this issue previously.
Thanks for any advice.
