Be advised by the valeters but if its still wet covering it tightly to prevent it drying could be an option. I'd be surprised if they can remove 5 litres of dry paint from a carpet.
Enquire about the cost of replacing the damaged carpet.

Would your car insurance even cover this sort of thing?
Why wouldn't it (assuming fully comprehensive) ?
I suppose their 'out' could be that it was negligence.
Insurers don’t payout for negligence do they...

Most policies have wording that could probably be used to exclude it, e.g the following:

"You or any person in charge of your car must protect your car from damage or loss."

"Driven with a load or a number of passengers that is unsafe or greater than the
    manufacturer’s specifications."

"A load seeping or spilling in or from your vehicle that causes pollution or contamination."

If I’m fully comp and negligently drove my car into a wall thereby causing damage to it. The  insurer will of course payout. Why wouldn’t they?

I’d be spraying some water around the edges where the paint has reached to and as others have said cover in plastic to stop the edges drying out. I feel your pain, I had 5L of waste oil I was taking to the tip when it fell over in the passenger footwell and the lid popped of. I had to use an oil pump to remove most of it and then cut out the footwell carpet so I could clean it properly. It’s still in the shed :#

Because they've specified a load of reasons in your policy for which they won't pay out - like driving whilst disqualified or under the influence of drink or drugs.

Reminds me of the goat jumping into a swimming pool. Best check whether paint spillages are covered at all.

I did this with a tin of felt roofing glue!  I replaced the 3 sections Of seat from a online breaker for about £100 perfect match. Once I persuaded them there was 3 sections to the seat it was straightforward.

If valeting fails you could see if you can get a second hand carpet from breakers yard. Just be aware swapping the carpet on most modern cars is a huge task. The carpet is one piece so front seats and all lower trim panels plus centre console and lower seat belt mounts have to be removed. If you do it yourself disconnect the battery first due to airbags in seats.

Try and clean it and if doesn't work then fit 2nd hand. Just one thought though. Is it worth trying to something like a rug doctor. As others have said, leaving it too long will let it dry and then no chance of getting it completely out.
