Total Parking Solutions

Can anyone help? I got a parking ticket three years ago. Forgot all about it as I was in the process of being diagnosed with a life threatening illness and leaving a relationship. I’ve received a letter from BW legal on behalf of Total Parking Solutions asking me to pay £124. I’m disabled and don’t have this kind of money. I’m beside myself. I live with my mum and daughter for their support and if a bailiff comes we are actually shielding till 31st March. Any advice please?

No bailiff will come round becaue you have not lost a court case - have you? I am assuming not!

Now, go to the newbies thread. Read what it says about a letter before action, which you may have. You need to look at what YOUR letter contains, precisely, and work out if this is
    - debt collector trash
    - real letter before action
Do not post until you have done so.

You will get the best possible help there is available on the internet from the regulars here, so do not panic.

It sounds like you may have the protection offered by the Equality Act 2010 if you had your condition at the time of the event (even if it had not been diagnosed). This requires service providers (including unregulated parking scammers) to provide reasonable adjustments to disabled persons who have protected characteristics as defined by the above Act.

A landowner complaint mentioning the EA 2010 and disability discrimination should be plan A.

Also send an SAR as per the NEWBIES to the scammers to flush out all previous data they hold on you. The information on how to do this is in the NEWBIES. You will need to include proof of ID such as a copy of the vehicle V5C if you still have it, or two redacted utility or bank/card statements.

As already requested, please tell us where this took place (hospital, retail park, railway station, airport, multi-story car park etcetera.)
