Should I be worried about toilet seat bumpers not being wide enough ?

So I bought a new toilet which seems to be 38cm wide in the middle sides, this is 2.5cm wider than my previous one, and I also bought a new toilet seat, but all seats seem to be 37cm wide (at most). I also needed 27cm or bigger front to back inside hole of the seat due to my heavy size, anything shorter and lets just say it is uncomfortable, this tends to make seat look a bit more elongated even though it is the same 43cm by 38cm as 99% of seats.
So I have just fitted it on the unfitted/unplumbed toilet (still in box) just to see how it looks, I have not sat on it yet. I am a little worried by the bumpers underneath the seat. They feel okay when I feel my fingers under the seat but when I took photos they look very close to the edge. Please see attached pics. Should I worry that the entire bumper does not sit on the pan ? Or is just 1/3 of the buffer touching okay ?
The trouble if I move the seat forward on the hinges to try and get slightly more coverage (and it is only very slightly more) is then it will over hang too much on the front of the seat and won't look neat.
Does it look okay to you ? Not sure how much they need to cover the pan rim to be acceptable. Thanks !!

There will be an element of give in the hinge area and there is the danger of the seat moving such that one side is no longer on the bowl edge.
You don't have enough bumper contact depth to make it safe.0 -
IMO, it's OK - if the seat is fixed well and cannot move sidewise.

You might get away with it, but in my experience, some users can put a considerable amount of lateral force on a toilet seat and the hinge fixings will always loosen with time. Sooner or later, someone's going to get a surprise when they sit down!0

Most seats are made to suit a range of 'standardish' pans, since most pans are standardish sizes and shapes. Some are specifically designed for a particular pan, and these you would expect to fit perfectly. The rest will be a compromise to some degree or other.IF the seat you have is good quality - and it would appear it is - and the hinges are firm and the fixings able to be tightened so they don't move, then you should be ok. However, if you can move the seat from side-to-side at all, either through some give or play in the hinges or, because the actual fixings can slide a bit, then you will most likely have problems.0

Does the manufacturer of the toilet not make a seat to fit the toilet?
