My son signed up for UC about 6 weeks ago, filling out all the relevant info and was told that he had to wait for a phone call to go over the claim, however he missed the call and that was about 3 weeks ago and he's not sure if or when they will call back or if he can contact them.
Does he just wait for the call again or can he contact them, also if the claim is accepted is post dated to when the claim was made?

He needs to post a note on his UC journal and/or call the helpline explaining why he missed the call and asking them to ring again. Is he checking his journal regularly to see if there are any outstanding actions in his ‘to do list’. The claim cannot be progressed until he completes any required actions.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0
