Hi All
Just wondering what you think of this quote I got to rewire a 1 bed flat.
It was £6500 before VAT, including a plasterer to patch up the holes and channels made by the electrician? It’s London but surely it’s a bit much?

We have no idea what's been quoted for, so there is no surely about it...

Go for it if the flat is more than 120sqm but if not, it seems way too much.0

I have been quoted £3k full rewire with all MCBO's it is a 3 bed semi in North west - however the sparks are using their friends company to Sign off with NICEIC & building control as they are not registered (despite experience).
another has said he will do it through third party installer scheme
Is this normal practice ?

get at least 4 quotesIt is prohibited by the NICEIC's Rules of Enrolment to sign off for another company.I presume by "MCBOs" you mean RCBOs.0 -

Unless it's that other firm's installation rather than the one he's setting up himself then it isn't appropriate.
