If exchange takes place but no completion

    It was no disaster as we’d purposely split the sale and onwards purchase.

    Certainly had.
    It was no disaster as we’d purposely split the sale and onwards purchase.

    I think they mean they weren’t completing on sale and buying on the same day. So a gap between owning each property.

    I recently sold and moved into rented and I looked for a rental prior to exchange and then we exchanged before I signed the AST. I wanted to know I had a place to go before exchange as I had no alternative accommodation for us and the cat. Without the cat I'd have been less bothered.
