child savings

Hi
Please can you offer suggestions. My son is 11 and has been left some money by a relative. He has a Child Trust Fund but - it's complicated, it's in my ex husband's name - during our divorce we attempted to sort out etc etc my ex is a control freak, there isn't much in there anyway and it's too much hassle and stress to get my ex to sort it out.
I read that my son would not be able to have a CTF and a Junior ISA at the same time so please could you advise on an account I can open for my son where I can deposit this money he's been left and where I can deposit future monies if I choose until he's 18 when he can withdraw it.
Many thanks everyone!
