Loss of business insurance claim

Dear MSE, I own a hairdressers salon in Ipswich and am insured with Hiscox, turns out I can claim through my policy for business interruption/loss business. So I submitted my claim and it’s got as far as Hiscox now asking me to prove that there was a Covid case within 1 mile of my business address. Apparently it’s in the small print that the pandemic has to be prominent in and around the area we trade in. I know this is a loophole insurance companies have found but we were made to close our doors by law and had no choice.
Would love to hear back from somebody as to how to go about proving this or anything anybody would suggest as to how to get round the problem.
Thank you in advance.
