Just been in the branch to put a signature on the loyalty RS passbook.
I asked about the loyalty isa someone kindly mentioned previously. I have just seen the PDF and can confirm (it is not as exciting as I first hoped for), it is a tier interest rate, available from 25 march 2021. It allows isa transfer in.
Edit: now available
To qualify for the Loyalty Six Access Saver ISA you must have had a continuous membership with Yorkshire Building Society starting on or before the 1st January 2020.
Allows withdrawals on 6 days per year plus closure at any time
Minimum balance Tax-free† p.a. AER*

Better than what is out there in the general market, but I'd be surprised if it had the cashiers as busy as the loyalty RS did...0
-
I was surprised it was that low compare to RS 3.5%, I was hoping for at least 1.6% with restriction, especially the name of loyalty isa.
But this is still 2nd best, just behind nationwide 0.75%+£50 for transfer in(who know how long it will last)
This is the top buy if someone not used their allowance this tax year.0 -
Maybe a fixed rate ISA? If it's easy access it'll be well sought after by the people who still pay tax on savings interest.0
-
Pretty sure its not fixed.
I think all ybs variables cash isa are all easy (limited) access with 6 withdrawal day in a year.0 -
I agree, it would also be unusual to have a fixed rate ISA with tiered rates0
-
Not bad for an instant access isa for new funds - but I expect many of us will have legacy/closed accounts paying more with other providers.
Not quite the 3.5% for the loyalty regular saver - which still looks odd for a major national society to offer.1 -
I opened an easy access account with YBS a couple of weeks ago so I will be able to prove my loyalty for next year's offersRetired 1st July 2021.
This is not investment advice.
Your money may go "down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... I got all tricked up and came up to this thing, lookin' so fire hot, a twenty out of ten..."0 -
I've been with Chelsea which was taken over by YBS and it's gone downhill from there.I was stunned to get a letter saying it would drop to 3.5% unless I wanted another - but no information enclosed and limited access to branch. Poor customer service. What does the reference to RS mean? The title is Yorkshire BSI used to be a Nationwide customer then they moved the branch so a 50 mile round trip plus you had to open a current account to get into the BS. So tried to rejoin but they made it so difficult.
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
viral kindness .....kindness is contageous pass it on
The only normal people you know are the ones you don’t know very well

Assuming you have a legacy Chelsea account open on 1 January 2020 and that (or any other account etc) is still open today you are eligible to apply.
Its a good rate - hence the reference - as most regular savers now only pay 1%.
