Cordless Vacuum Cleaners

Not looking for a vacuum for floors, just for portable cleaning. Looking in the Asda, comparing them isn't easy, some are 600w and some 1200w.
But the Amp Hour capacity of the batteries was not listed.
I have a Vax GATOR 10.8v and its rubbish, not sure if getting one with a higher voltage is the answer.

If you happen to have any Makita tools and battery ( or you can buy a compatible battery online ), then Makita tool only ( so you don't pay makita prices for charger and batteries ) is cheap, decent and powerful enough for a little mess that carpenter or plumber does - something like this -
