ESA for persons shielding

The current position is that ESA can be claimed by those who have been advised to shield (but this will no longer apply after the end of the month). See https://www.gov.uk/employment-support-allowanceYou can apply for Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) if you have a disability or health condition that affects how much you can work.
You may also be able to get it if you cannot work while you are self-isolating or ‘shielding’ because of coronavirus (COVID-19).Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.1
