Does anyone know the Cumwhinton area? Im looking for a bit of info about the area near to Lonsdale park
We are due to go on a break in June (Covid willing) and looking at a place called Lonsdale park which is a fishery with accomodation in Cumwhinton. Hubby loves fishing but I dont so we usually try to find somewhere where he can fish and I can wander of somewhere every day. There are 4 of us going and the usual thing at night is that we find some local pub to have a couple of drinks (I dont drink so I drive) and then get a takeaway supper to take back to the digs. Obviously it may be that this is all immaterial if there are restrictions still in place.
Ive done a bit of Googling but have a few doubts about the area, looks ok for the day as I can go into Carlisle etc but dont really want to have to drive to Carlisle every night to find a pub and looking at the local maps there is very little choice. We usually try to stay somewhere close to a village which has a choice of 2 or 3 pubs we can try and a small choice of takeaways. Is there any option like this close by?
