Advice needed to contest a penalty notice

Hello,
I have done a bit of research and found that people have sucessfully won their case against the local council, but I noticed that the wording on the penalty charge notice of these winning cases was slightly different than mine, if anyone could advise if there is a suitable template I could use to contest the penality notice would be very much appreciated.
My penalty is for: 52J Failing to comply with a prohibition on certain types of vehicles (Parsons Mead, Croydon)
The issue is when you drive onto the road/enter the road in question there are no signs, in fact its a very long straight road and its only when you have driven two thirds of the length of the road that the signs have been placed (I now know this as I looked online). I clearly missed the signs (they were only put up in January of this year), having driven on this road for the last ten years without issue, I was clearly on auto pilot. What I am afraid of is that I have driven on this same road on one more occassion thereafter, so no doubt this will result in a second penalty notice coming through the post in a few days time.
I'd be grateful for any assistance
Thank you

As we major on private parking tickets here, PePiPoo will be your best bet for council tickets. Register there but please note that a hotmail address won't work - try using a throwaway gmail account instead if you do have trouble registering and post a new thread; here's your link:Have a read through some of the other threads there before you post your own to get the hang of what information they need from you in your opening post - but as a minimum you will need to post redacted photos/scans of all correspondence you've received from the council (both sides, if appropriate) as they need to see all the small print. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
