Do you have a Roca bathroom suite - would you recommend?

We are just looking to change our bathroom suite and like the look of the Roca Gap. We would need a closed coupled toilet (this is rimless) and matching sink/pedestal. We just wondered if anybody has Roca and could let us know if they are happy with it. We had been looking at the more traditional type toilets like Burlington with standard round seat and handle instead of push button, but the local showroom suggested that Roca was a better make. Thank you.

  • I don't know how Roca compares with other pottery, but a wee extra loo that had been fitted in our house when we bought has a Roca toilet/cistern and a small wall-mounted basin. Absolutely no issues with it in terms of mouldings, finish or operation.

Can't really say any more than that.

Tbh - if it looks good and is well finished - ie mouldings look neat, and enamel is smooth and blemish-free - then you are really pretty good to go; the 'internals' will almost certainly be from an independent manufacturer, and will also almost certainly be perfectly ok for many years. When they finally fail, you simply replace these bits - cheap to do).

If someone in a shop or store ever says "This one is better than that one", always ask "in what ways?" Ie you'll have something tangible to work with, or be able to dismiss it as BS - one of the two :-)

We have had Roca units in our bathroom since we had a refit over ten years ago and have never had a problem, would certainly buy them again.

I have a Roca Gap toilet and bath, and the victoria N sink unit. I got it ex-display, and the cost of a few hundreds was negligible against getting it fitted (I had the soil stack reconfigured, and a few other bits and pieces). The sink unit is a bit broken on the back, but nothing you can see now it's fitted.

It's good, I like it, but would never dream of paying full price as you're only paying for a brand name.

I have the Roca Gap toilet bath and sink with pedestal.
I think the quality is excellent but a few things to note re fittings.

The sink is not very deep (back to front depth) and so be care full which taps you buy.
With the taps I chose, the water hits the plug hole and tends to splash up a bit but have now got used to it and don't have it full blast "so to speak" My old sink came out wide at the front so just a case of getting used to a differant shape.
The Gap bath is quite wide so takes a bit of filling.
Toilet is good. I didn't want a square shaped one but find it is better than the usual oval shape.

All in all., excellent quality and design.  Would  buy again.
