Hi there
So due to lockdown my children haven’t been able to attend their trampoline lessons. They’ve said all the lessons missed we can take them, when lessons are back up and running. During this entire time, we’ve been paying for the lessons. In order to cancel lessons, you have to pay a £45.00 fee per child (we have 3 in lessons) it costs £90.00 per month.
One of my sons would like to stop his lessons. Thinking that we’ve been paying for ‘nothing’ essentially and have 15 makeup sessions, they would allow us to cancel my sons lessons, fee free.
I asked them if we could and their response was ‘as per our terms and conditions’ the makeup sessions have no monetary value.
This makes me then think, what have we therefore been paying for?
Another club one of my children was attending heavily reduced and then stopped charging for classes because of the situation. They also eventually allowed us to cancel lessons because there was no sign of them opening any time soon. This is how I expected Leeds Rebound to respond.
Please let me know where I stand on this! We’re paying for a service we’re not receiving!

Have a read of the CMA's statement about covid impact on contracts on gov.uk.
If they can't provide the service as agreed, they shouldn't be charging you as agreed. Any term allowing them to do so basically upsets the legal balance of the contract as it has the effect of making the contract only binding on you while allowing them to breach the contract with impunity. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride1
