I saw this being advertised in aldi and it looks pretty good, it plays HD and Bluray .Is it a good deal? I was thinking of having it in my lounge as a media PC and to play the odd game on my plasma TV. I can't find much info on the LG combo drive any idea how much they cost on there own?
Nothing to see here, move along.

Decent spec, as with most Medions though it could benefit from a new graphics card.Space for rent, apply within - Free trial on Thanks button though0

What's so bad about the graphix? What would be a better option.

The GGW-H10N costs about £490What's so bad about the graphix? What would be a better option
the Radeon 2900 Pro 1024Mb would be nicerCan the processor be upgraded to a quad core. I'm more used to AMD stuff
only if you ripped out the mobo and replaced with a new one
Personally I would wait until HD rewriters and bluray writers or indeed combi writers start coming out and prices falling, which will be pretty soon0 -

It's not that the card is particularly bad, it would just struggle with something like crysis. As someone else said, either an ATI2900 or Geforce 8800 would be the dogs danglies in this system. However, some of these cards take up 2 slots at the back for the fan outlet.Coveredinbees!!!! wrote: »What's so bad about the graphix? What would be a better option.

Only really a problem at the mo if you intend to try out crysis, will probably be ok for most other stuff.Space for rent, apply within - Free trial on Thanks button though0
