Speaking to registry office recently and they are struggling for dates in 2022 and beyond. Is anyone just getting on with it and hoping to get wed in 2021?
Our original date was September 2020, rearranged for July 2021. Hopefully all restrictions will be on their way out so we can have everyone we originally planned to but we are also planning a under 30 people do as well. Our budget is completely all over the place as we haven’t pinned down if we have 30 or 90 guests yet!
Anyone else? How are you feeling about your 2021 wedding and how are you getting on with the practicalities?

Good luck to her unforeseen! It’s a bit like planning two weddings, one with restrictions and one without!MFW 2021 #76 £5,145

A bit late to the party, but we have decided to stick with our original wedding date (28th May 2021). We pretty much planned another wedding. The original, planned wedding was a destination wedding for 120 people. Now we have arranged for a ceremony in the local registration office and a small casual meal afterwards, found a photographer, make up artist, florist. We have a list of 15 and a list of 30 - we will go with whichever is allowed at the time. We have postponed the destination wedding reception and will have it as our 1 year anniversary party instead. We just want to get married, even if it means just us and 2 witnesses. We would probably just stick with the smaller do now (a pandemic does make you change your priorities I guess), but the destination wedding was partially paid for and it didn't cost anything to move to a later date so we decided to keep it after all.1

But I’m starting to realise that I also really want a big party, it’s been too long since I drunkenly danced 😂MFW 2021 #76 £5,145

My niece was just weeks away from her big wedding when the lockdown descended on us. She's now getting married in middle of May with a small crowd invited. A big wedding celebration is on the cards as soon as we're allowed to gether.
Times have been tough on 'young love'!1 -

our venue still won’t give the go ahead for over 30 guests and overnight stays. They are following the guidance they have as an outdoor Ed centre. They are going to keep researching and come back to us.
I’m frustrated as it’s being widely publicised that weddings with unlimited guests should be allowed after 21 June.More waiting... 10 weeks tomorrow and we still don’t know how many people we can have!MFW 2021 #76 £5,145

I cancelled our venue today ☹️ they never seemed to get round the fact of planning round the restrictions and wanted us to postpone until next year. We’ve got a booking for the same day at a different venue, just pending that we can get an appointment to give notice in time, it’s only 5 weeks and a few days away 😳
I can’t believe we booked in April 2019 and are doing everything last second, talk about stress.Anyone else got an update? Has boris’s decision yesterday caused you to change your plans?MFW 2021 #76 £5,145
