I've got a 4 bedroom terraced property that's empty with the carpets up and floor boards showing. Approximately what ball park figure range should I budget for would you suggest? - Thanks in advance
1. A new fresh rewire of the property
2. Installation of new central heating pipes and radiators but not replacing the combination boiler?

It depends on whether you're up North or down South.I had my 3br terrace rewire done in GLC about 8 years ago and it set me back £5k. Not sure about ch but probably not less than 2k.1

Hard to give actual figures, but if it's just new rads and pipes and access is seemingly as easy as it could be, then it'll take, what, 2 days absolute tops? Add in the costs of each rad and pipework fittings.Gets quotes, and I think 'silly' ones will stick out.(Seriously consider adding zones since you are at this stage. A separate one for bedrooms at least.)1

Do you know how did they repair the channels that they cut out to install the wires?0 -

Yes, we went to Margate for 10 days to allow the electrician space to work. (BTW Margate was a horrible place to stay then). I can't recall about the channelling but I think the sparks used the old ones and fed through the new wires. I was glad we did the rewire because a few years later we sold the house and it would have been difficult without the certificate.

You will need to speak to the trades to confirm that 'making good' is part of the contract of works. Never assume anything.

Making good is not usually the remit of electricians - need a plasterer for that. If you need recommendations for an electrician then I have a cracking one about 20 mins from you. 👍🏼1 -
I do need recommendations for an electrician as I'm going to have the entire house rewired0
