Presumably particularly so if Link was aware of the drift away from the stated strategy as IMO that was what they should have been keeping an eye on.

i'm thinking of joining the Leigh Day claim. has anyone else gone with them, and if so, was it a straightforward process in joining it?

rothers said:Yes, I have. It was very straight forward, I haven’t been asked to provide details of my purchase yet.
in terms of evidence they will need, i assume it will be the contract notes? what else could they ask for?
on a separate matter, just to make sure i have understood correctly.... i believe there is no risk to the claimant, so if Leigh Day lose the case they won't be asking claimants to pay the defendents costs (as they have after-event insurance in place) ... is that correct?
thanks.1 -
so i have just signed up to this....
my main worry was that i don't want to be asked for any fees whatsoever.
however, my understanding is as follows:1. That there is absolutely no risk to the claimant? Therefore if they lose the Woodford case, they will not be asking the claimants to make any payments towards the defendants cost?
2. The case is on a no win, no fee, basis?
3. Maximum fee they will charge the claimant if they win is 30% inclusive of VAT. This fee includes all costs, including the insurance policies they have taken out?
4. Contract notes will be needed to prove you were invested in the fund and at time of suspension.
5. This case is only vs Link (not Hargreaves Lansdown too) ?
Would appreciate if someone can confirm that my understanding on this is correct.... essentially, i just don't want to be getting any bills at any point.
Thanks.

So I did the first bit and it's given me a login to the page. However, the next bit asks to upload the evidence which I assume is contract notes, but not sure how to go about this.
I was a regular monthly investor since 2014 and therefore have approx 60 contract notes, but the website only lets you upload 1 attachment. How did you get round this? Also it only allows you to enter 1 purchase date too, whereas again i have 60 odd different dates.
I tried calling Leigh Day on the number to ask them, but the lady just took my details but nobody got back in touch.
