Help! I am a novice in the techie world.
I want a portable handbag sized pda. Many years ago I had a psion organiser which opened up and had a decent screen and keyboard. Obviously technology has advanced and I now have no idea what to get.
I am on a fairly tight budget, variable depending on if its a cash outlay up front or a pay monthly.
I do need organiser capability, connection to windows for file transfers, wifi internet access (this is the cheapest way of internet on the move isn't it?)
I wouldn't mind inbuilt sat nav as I dont have one as long as it actually works but this is not essential.
I have a mobile which I dont use much, almost never text, don't really use the camera (but this might change if it had better resolution than 1.3mp!) and would never send movies or photos by phone, only upload them to home pc. Any ideas what to get?
I have been looking at the Nokia N95 but feel there is probably something cheaper with fewer bells and whistles which might suit me better. Any ideas?
I think a decent keyboard and screen is probably the most important thing to me, without that I wouldnt use it. Cant stand touch screen.

How about something like the T-mobile MDA Compact III, HTC Touch or MDA VarioIII. These all seem to offer PDA type functions and phone / web connectivitiy on the move. They'll also sync with your PC. Don't know which is best (although only the Vario is 3G) and I've no doubt that the other networks will offer equivalents.Space for rent, apply within - Free trial on Thanks button though0

Dont go for the HTC touch, if you intend useing internet without a wireless internet connection. The device doesnt have 3G connectivity so web access over the mobile network is slow. other then that its a nice peice of kit.
I have an orange SPV m3100 its been around for a while and orange now give them free and the other networks have them named as they want. the latest is the HTC tytn II (2) it has built in GPS, windows mobile 6, slide out keyboard and tilting screen, wifi and 3.5G connectivity. if you get it with a data plan you can use the internet anywhere over the mobile network I pay about £4 for unlimited with orange, but it is an old school contract Im not sure if you can get the deal I have any more.
I personally prefer the windows mobile devices due to the simplicity and how much they are like useing a desktop PC, word and excel files can be opened and edited on the PDA.0
