My Settlement Figure Doesn't Include My Most Recent Car Payment - Do I Get That Back?

Hi there,
So as they do, Audi (who I have an existing PCP agreement with) have been contacting me over the last few months trying to get me to 'trade in' for a newer car. Up until now the deals they've offered me have been pretty crap to be honest - including literally offering me a worse version of the car I already have for more money per month! But this time, they gave me a very good offer. Essentially I'd be paying a little bit more monthly, but I get a better car, I get my first 3 payments free, and I had £1100 equity on my current car to go towards it. So naturally I agreed to this and paid the small deposit.
I have only just made this month's direct debit payment towards my current car within the last few days, and as such I noticed that the settlement figure actually reflects payments made up until last month, not including this month. I mentioned this to Audi and they said yes I ought to get that back if it's not included in the settlement figure. But I've also heard it bounces back only if it's within a few days of having been paid, so now I'm unsure as the payment was on the 13th, and today is the 19th. Since paying the deposit, Audi have got a lot slower at replying and have yet to give me a handover date. It could be coincidence, but now I'm starting to wonder if some rule will kick in that means after x days I won't get that payment back and perhaps they're slowing this down intentionally so I don't. So the question is really; is it a guarantee that if the last payment hasn't been included in my settlement figure it will come back to me, or is there a hard line on when they 'have' to give that back and the longer this takes the more the chance that I lose that money here?
Thanks in advance!

If the settlement figure doesn't take into account your recent regular payment then you will have overpaid when you (or the dealer) pay the settlement figure and as such you will get a refund in due course from the lender, if you're worried you can always ask for an updated settlement figure from your lender. I don't know who you've been talking to but the reason  "it bounces back only if it's within a few days of having been paid" is because if you request a settlement figure more than a few days after your regular payment - this payment will have been taken into account when the lender calculated your settlement figure so there is nothing to bounce back to you.

I automatically got my extra payment paid back once the deal ad gone through, and the dealer settled the finance etc.  You should get a closing letter too to show your liability/agreement has ended
