Currys PC World

Hi
I hope someone can help.  Bought a tv online from Currys which arrived and would not work.  I'm still continuing to get it exchanged but I'm hoping you could assist me in the aftermath complaint I will be making.  I've so far spent over £30 in phone calls and also wasted hours trying to communicate with them by messenger, FB threads.
They will not phone me back or use email and the email address they have is not in use and emails get binned.  There phone is a long chain of choices to then be put on hold and sit for my shortest call 20 minutes (others longer).  Their online virtual assistants will cut you off if you ask hard questions like whats your email address.

I would like my expenses recompensed and also that they are held to account for their disgraceful 'customer service'.  When the TV is exchaged what is the best way to claim?

I'm writing a letter to their head office as it seems they can't use emai (21st century tech company).

Thank You

Claim what apart from your actual losses you are entitled to nothing .
Who do you expect to hold them to account ??

You can be reimbursed for any reasonable expenses you have incurred, note reasonable. You can not be recompensed for customer service which you deem inadequate, they might decide on a voucher as gesture of good will, but it is Curry's so that is unlikely. You are not entitled to compensation.
  • Only people who can hold them to account for their customer service is costumers, by shopping elsewhere. By not cancelling the purchase and going elsewhere you are failing to hold them to account.

When you say it would not work what was/is the issue.

They've provided the same level of service for decades, I doubt you're going to be successful where thousands have failed.
