What size tile trim?

I'm having my kitchen retiled & guy doing it has left it to me to get the materials needed. If tiles are 6.5 thick, what size tile trim do I need?
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

Is the tiler supplying adhesive and grout etc? If he's not, I'd be looking for another tiler? Asking you to supply these is giving him the perfect excuse if the workmanship is shoddy. He'll blame it on the rubbish adhesive you bought etc. Trims etc are expensive in the likes of B&Q, topps tiles. He should have a trade account somewhere so he can get decent adhesive, grout and trims at trade prices.
If he's adamant on you buying the trims, and you're happy to do it, ask him what size to buy for the thickness of tiles you have as he'll know how thick he'll be applying the adhesive. You generally add a couple of mm to the thickness of the tile though so you'd need something around 9mm.

No, person I'm considering is not supplying materials. To be honest I prefer to source my own stuff as I then know there is no mark up on prices. It was my intention to ask him what adhesive he prefers as I know some do prefer a particular brand.

    I agree with rob7475.
For the sake of a few ££'s you are just going to leave your self open to problems.
You have even got on now by not knowing the correct size of tile trim.

You really should ask him what he wants to work with.

If it's quadrant trim, then at Top Tiles I see 8, 10, 12.5 ... mm  (trim depth). Personally, I'd use 8, but the tiler may prefer 10.
At BnQ I see 6mm and 9mm (max tile thickens). The choice is obvious.
