Drain removal

Hi
Just wondering if anyone has come.up against the same issue as me ?
I'm having to remove a manhole completely and fit a Y main pipe .
It's been two weeks and I'm left with this big hole . It's not my builders speciality and his having to change his liability insurance just to do the job .
So I've contacted a few water company's to get some prices as I can see this draging on .
Build over approved and architect drawings done .
Massive issues to get this done due to architect muck up .
Saying he was dealing with the build over to find out 6 months later he had completely forgot even though I chased and chased him 🤦♂️ .
Anyway just wondering if anyone has dealt with similar or has some advice . I've attached a photo that needs to be removed .
Wondered what i should be looking at cost wise ?
As the architect has allready increased his prices to £75 ph .
I feel they pushed me against a wall then increased the price when they knew I was desperate and couldn't go anywhere else .
Sorry to keep going on about them but they have caused me all sorts of issues so far .
Will save that for another post .
So just looking for any costs or help or advice or removal of this drain
Many thanks

Has the architect produced the drawings for what needs to be done?Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Yes I have all the drawings .
Having hell to get hold of the salt glazed pipe aswell .
No where seems to stock them
Tried 3 company's about doing the work but they don't want to no ..
So my builders trying to get on with it .
He even had to change his liability insurance to take on the work .
He's spent half the day driving around the country today trying to get the pipe .
Rather stressful got a garden full of earth mud and bricks for the last few months0 -
You can get adapters to go from salt glaze to standard clay.1

We asked them where we could get them .
They had zero idea 🤦♂️ .
Had 2 quotes of £5-7000 .
Which seems insane money .
Also having issues with planning control ontop now which could cost £1000s to resolve due to the architects blunder .
Which he won't take any responsibility for

What was the 7 grand for? Doing all of the drainage work? Do you have a sketch of what the work involves, as it looks like there is a backdrop in the manhole. Water companies should accept modern vitrified clay pipes.1

I have got architect drawings for what needs doing will dig them out .
I have a guy coming tomorrow to give me a quote will see what he says .
The builder has got the man hole right down to the bottom now .
But I can see he's nervous about removing the concrete base as he hasn't done this before and we have been informed he can only block the main drain for 2 hours and that's not a lot of time to remove the base and cut the pipes and reconnect .
The £5-7000 quoted was removal of the old manhole , new pipes , reconnection ect full job .
I'm shocked there allowing the builder to do the work as is he as it's a main drain .
