Full refund

I wanted a refund for a product that was damaged, the company said to me that they will send me 5% back but they have emailed me saying they have sent me the full amount by error. They have asked me “Could you please pay the remaining amount your local store if possible.” I don’t live near a store. Can I just keep it ?

As they were only giving you a 5% refund i presume that you have not returned the product? You can't keep the product and keep the full refund. Either return the faulty product or return the refund. Did you buy from a store or online?
Were you happy to accept the 5%? If you are then ask for their bank details and say you will return the 95% directly to their bank account - then no store visit is needed.

I am amazed people ask such questions. Let me answer it this way, if they made a mistake and actually took the money from your bank account instead of returning it would you be happy if they kept it?I don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!3
