Fixed & Moving home?

My current fixed tariff (with Avro) is up for renewal in May. According to MSE Energy Club comparison site, the best ones are fixed on a 12-month contract.
We currently rent and unfortunately - we might be moving end of this year or perhaps early next year. Or maybe not! It all depends on our landlord and the pandemic.
Are there charges for ending tariff early if you are moving? I cannot see the T&Cs about cancelling if moving, the closest thing I could see is this FAQ post.
What if we do not want to transfer tariff to our next property? What if the rent in next property already covers utility bills?
Is a variable tariff the only option for us?
Many thanks in advance!

You cannot transfer your supplier/tariff from one property to the next. You must give your present supplier closing reads and at your new property contact the existing supplier, give reads and then you can switch.
Variable or fixed tariff - your choice.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill1 -

You can't move a tariff between properties. When you do move, you need to set up accounts with whoever the supplier is to that property, provide opening meter readings (make sure you take them yourself) and ask to be put on their lowest tariff that does not have exit fees. Then you are free to switch to another provider. Not sure about Avro, but most suppliers, usually when you move house, you don't have to pay exit fees. However, it is worth checking with whichever supplier you switch too. Also, when you do move out, make sure you take the meter readings yourself and take a photo of them, to provide to the supplier you are leaving.Quite often, separate suppliers for Gas & Electric work out cheaper.1

Thank you all. So looks like if we do move within next 12 months...
On fixed tariff - fixed prices for next 12 months but:- Supplier waives fee if we switch back to them in new property or
- We pay early exit fee
- No exit fee

You dont have to renew with Avro, if they are imposing an early exit fee if you move then you could find a supplier that doesn't or risk a variable tariff.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0

Most Avro tariffs don't have any exit fees. You need to check your agreement with them.1
