There's nothing like huddling round a barbecue with a mug of hot port in the midst of a gale-blown sleet shower! ...and that's in June, so why not do it in January!4 -
A brick bbq with a chimney is probably going to be safer and cause less smoke to wander into the garden. You could view it as a win.
