Laying oak sleepers and recessed drain cover cost

Hi

I have engaged someone to create a patio for me and turf the rest the of the garden.

I have agreed a price for this.

However there are a couple of add ons

1) since my garden is at a bit of slope (total 10cm fall), I have asked to put in two oak sleepers (garden width 4m) to be put in to divide the garden into two levels. They have quoted 200 pounds to lay the two sleepers supply and fit.

Does it cost that much?

2) To put in a recessed drain cover (35 cm). This is being charged at 200 pounds supply and fit.

Do you think that these costs are reasonable?

For the sleepers, this will give you a very rough ballpark guide of the cost of the sleepers themselves : https://www.travisperkins.co.uk/product/timber-and-sheet-materials/timber-sleepers/c/1500128/  (They can be bought from loads of places, builders merchants, timber yards, etc., that's just to give an illustration)

When you say "Lay the sleepers", what do you mean?  Literally laying them down on the ground?  Or is there 2 tons of soil to be shovelled around to terrace a slope?  If the latter then it doesn't sound a bad price - there could be a fair amount of labour involved, plus additional material costs in the form of some sort of fixings for the sleepers, maybe a concrete base, stuff like that.

Likewise for the drain cover.  It's easy enough to find a ballpark price for the cover itself, but how much labour is involved?
