Unauthorised vehicle crossing on our drive

They won't grant permission for any dropped kerb within 1m of street furniture (your lamp post) these days. You can sometimes apply/pay huge sums to have the street furniture moved, if there's an obvious alternative location for it. If you're currently parking two cars, could you offset the application for the kerb to the side away from the lamp post? A local contractor with highways work permissions might be able to advise and do the drawings for you.
