Seventh Anniversary First Post Combo Breaker

After many weeks trying to get a refund from expedia for cancelled flights im at my witts end, they seldom return calls, claim they cant get hold of KLM to get control of my tickets, i cant get a card refund due to the time since the flights were cancelled, and cant do a small claim in Scotland for a flight refund!!! Any suggestions anyone?

    Have you checked with KLM to see of they have , in fact, refunded Expedia?

    Yes, when I first tried to get a refund KLM said I needed to contact Expedia as I booked with the, Expedia said I needed to contact KLM, this went on for a week passing me back and forward to each other, KLM confirmed I am due a refund and Expedia could call them, but I can’t get Expedia to do anything

    You do need to arrange the refund via Expedia, KLM won't deal with you directly as you booked via an agent, so don't let Expedia fob you off.

    On the Expedia homepage there's a "Covid" box with links to Change or cancel my booking, and also a Track my refund.  They seem to open an automated chat bot, I'm guessing you've tried that?  The Expedia support pages state it can take upto 12 weeks for a refund!

    I have called expedia so many times, they agree i am due a refund, but say klm still hold my tickets and they need to call klm, thats 2 weeks now, they keep saying they will call me back, 2 supervisor promised, im still waiting, they are doing nothing about it,

    Unfortunately sometimes you just need to wait for events to take there natural course. KLM are most likely in deep financial trouble. Like many airlines are clinging onto whatever cash they still have for as long as possible.

    Unfortunately the inept Expedia keep passing the buck, and the cycle begins again.  If you look at all the reviews on the different sites but they are mounting and tracking along the same theme.  I am in exactly the same boat and waiting for a refund for £400 for an internal flight in the USA back in May 2020.  This doesn’t help you but trust the CMA will take heed with the mounting complaints and force their hand.  Report to citizens advice, trading standards, watchdog etc.
