Mice / Rats digging up my seeds / Seedlings

Hi,
Anyone know what can be done to prevent this.
I even had them protected under a poly-tunnel but they dug in under the wooden sides.

What type of seeds? Peas / beans maybe?
Have you applied bone meal, fish, blood, bone or similar fertiliser?
Both the above can attract rodents

    Maybe traps?

What makes you think it's rats/mice? Have you found tunnels going from outside in? How deep is the wood round the edges?

The only normal people you know are the ones you don’t know very well

I've got mice in the greenhouse got some of the wilko pre-baited tray traps (i've now glued bait in the tray's) they are not senitive enough to kill the mice

I know its Mice/Rats because i had the same issue yesterday.
To be honest the wooden edge was not deep at all.  It was simply sitting on the the soil and there are holes around the edge and lots of disturbed soil where they have dug up the seedlings:(
I have some traps on order so may be able to grow 'Something'

i've put my potted seeds in boxes on top of 8" plastic pots and the mice still climb up the 8" pot under then over the box sides to get the peas or they are climbing up the metal frame of the greenhouse and dropping down into the boxes containing the seed trays, think i will get metal mesh to put over the deeper seed pots (not seed trays) to stop the mice getting the peas & beans
