Cost of changing a Saltbox roof

Hello
I’m buying a smallholding and the house is great but the bedrooms are small the house has a Saltbox roof so I want to take the roof off and bring the walls up then extend the bedrooms and put the roof back on but I’m finding it hard to find any guides on getting it done or an idea of price hope that someone will have an idea to help

Talk to a local builder, they should be able to give you a rough estimate.
Also, you will likely need planning permission to make those changes, so may be worth looking into that too - some areas are quite sensitive about "increased bulk" which adding the extra storey will do.1 -
Tried but have had no answers back from any.
I am also trying architects as well as it’s at the back I’m not sure if it falls under permitted or not as it is changing the wall0
