Smart parking to drp

Hello I was issued a notice at the airport pub in Manchester. 28/9/2020. I have missed the deal line day to appeal. Should I contact them as I don’t know who was driving the car that day? Or shall I leave it. I don’t want this to affect my credit score. I already have a CCJ this week from civil enforcement I’m trying to defend and don’t want another one. Any help would be great! Thank you

Complaints to the brewery (Robinsons) have brought success for tickets issued at this pub in the past. So do that, but as far as DRP are concerned - please read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, fourth post, which tells you how to deal with them!

You should have dealt with this at the time, as one simple letter to Smart would have seen it cancelled. Now you have potentially 6 years waiting to see if Smart issue a court claim against you .... your only chance to avoid that possibility is to get the brewery (or maybe the landlord) to cancel - try both.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Explain what you mean by CCJ ?  Do you mean a County court judgment or you have received a court claim ?

If you have a court claim from another scammer then you should be reading the guide to court written by bargepole that you will have found in the second post of the sticky thread for NEWBIES. If you need further help with it, then start a separate thread.

A County Court Judgement means that the claim has gone to court and a judge has decided who pays whom.

Have you complained to your MP?

I would of delt with it at the time but I was in the middle of moving home and being a new mum, the letter got miss place and when I got the debt letter I remembered about it. I paid parking fines ltd to help me with it but they have recently blocked my messages on what’s app. I will have a word with the brewery any advice on what to say to them? Thank you for reply!

Hi no the court papers I received last week are for civil enforcement ltd, I’m in the middle of my defence for this now. I did park there at the pizza express and didn’t see no signs. It’s been so stressful as I was a new driver and only passed 3 days before, also having a new baby and my own mental health issues. I did appeal the pizza express one but they said no. And was going to the next appeal and mental health got bad then I moved. The one from Manchester airport pub is a different incident.

Each case requires its own thread

Read other Robinson's threads on here to see how to complain and who to , because it's the only way to get rid of it and to stop a court claim

    As for your cel claim , it's not a CCJ , yet , it's a court claim

A quick search of the forum found the following. Should be some inspiration therein.

Hi I have just logged into the smart parking account, it’s giving me the appeal option still? If I fill it in will it just say I’m past the date. Any advice on what to put in the appeal. Thank you.

use the blue text template from the newbies thread, unchanged, no additions and no subtractions, appealing as keeper , no harm in trying, it can only say NO

but a complaint to Robinsons is stiill your best option here , regardless

bear in mind we avoid these issues so have never done either, your feedback tells us the score
