Ok, now we have consumer right act 2015 which covers the same, sorry. JJ_Egan said:(UK consumer law, ) Totally wrong .(you can argue it’s 6 years under Sale of Goods act though.)Wrong again one SOGA has not been in place since 2015 . Two the six years is nothing but the time scale you have to take legal action under Current Consumer Rights .

There's no law that a manufacturer even has a to offer a warranty, let alone a 2 year one.
What there is, is a "legal" warranty/guarantee offered by consumer rights. A legal warranty is not like a manufacturers warranty though. A legal warranty is where you rights under the contract are enforceable by law for that period. So all it means is that you must have a period of at least 2 years to take legal action against the seller, not that the goods need to last a period of 2 years.
As JJ explained, in England you have 6 years from purchase. In scotland, it's 5 years from discovery. Far longer than the 2 years minimum required by EU law.You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
Ok, fair enough, the thing I wanted know is about their new changes they will introduce regarding limit of uploads. I don’t remember exact term but I’m sure there is something let’s say Sky will increase price and you have a right to terminate your contract earlier. I know it’s not the same but I wouldn’t have bought cricut knowing about limits.0

I would say it's relatively straightforward. The product you purchased doesn't work as it was advertised to, as no limit on usage was advertised. You're entitled to a refund. Talk to Amazon about it.1

humunumunuku said:Hi guy, I’ll try to be as clear as possible since it might not be very popular company and issue. Last year I purchased cricut, vinyl cutter/plotter, it came with free software Design Space and you could opt in for Cricut access - their subscription to access their images and ready projects. That option to subscribe, you still could use their software to cut your own images. They just announced they’re gonna introduce limit and now you’re only allowed to upload 20 YOUR OWN images monthly, if you want to upload more, you will have to subscribe to access. Their software is absolutely rubbish, doesn’t handle bigger files well so I always have fo go back, make it simpler and reupload. They’re American company but selling world wide, I purchased mine on amazon in May last year, less than a year ago. Is their anything in UK customer law to allow me returning my machine as not fit for purpose? Machine on its own works fine but you can’t use any other software for cutting and going from unlimited uploads to 20 per month is a bit too much. It’s only £7.49 per month but that’s not the point. Thanks in advance for any help.
Which I would think most companies would think such a amount is being run as a business or sideline on Esty or such site.Life in the slow lane0 -
Thank you all for your help, issue has solved itself - they’ve change their minds and just released statement, they’re gonna allow unlimited for all members 💪🏻1

Reminds me of when Y-Cam introduced charges for video cloud storage that was previously free.
Which? article: Y-Cam now charging for previously free cloud storage – Which? News
And MSE's forum thread about it: y-cam homemonitor ending free cloud recording — MoneySavingExpert Forum
On page three of the MSE thread, dated December 2017, Cynicalgit writes:It appears that Amazon refunded purchases two to three years after they were made.I've been in touch with amazon and they have agreed to refund both cameras. I purchased them in 2014 and 2015 so this is good service.
I suggest other people do the same if they purchased from amazon.
I gather from the thread the free video storage was advertised as being 'for life'.0
