PPI. Claim

I have PPI cover on a mortgage that I've had for 11years i was made redundant and I'm on job seekers allowance the insurers asked for evidence of this and the redundancy paperwork , but also I have to prove to them I'm looking for work , so I have to fill out a claim form monthly and give evidence of job applications, interviews , emails from companies and do a journal of all that I have done , they assess this and then decide if they will pay out on a monthly basis , is this normal/correct ?.
Would be greatful  for feedback .

Comments

  •  Perfectly normal. Someone could lie and claim to be redundant when not, or obtain another job and not let them know.
  • If they are paying out on your policy then yes you do have to follow the terms and conditions. I don't know if the job centre still does the sheet you fill in to show you have done job searches and applications - if so, send them a copy of that. Or just keep track of job applications you do e.g. a screen shot of the application.
