Yes, I was wondering about Holywood. Close to the action in Belfast, sea on your doorstep, lots of little independent shops and a nice buzz generally.

Neither work nor kids were an issue for us when choosing where to live, as my partner had the option to work from home before it became fashionable and I'm a housewife who only has cats to look after. We just ended up in the town he grew up in, as he wanted to be close to family more than anything else.1

Broadly similar here. We were fortunate enough to be able to avail of family land to build our own house out in the country.
